SHIRLEY SCHOLLUM
Director, New Zealand & Australia
As a founding director of REM SYSTEMS, Shirley Schollum’s background in administration has played a vital role in developing the company from its formative years.
While her husband Leon focused on developing sales, Shirley managed the customer services work for the first nine years. As the company and staff number grew, Shirley’s portfolio expanded considerably.
Shirley is currently responsible for overseeing all major capital purchases for the New Zealand and Australian companies such as computers and company cars. She also hires and manages the administration staff, is responsible for ensuring the smooth processing of salaries and liaises with principal companies based in Europe.
One of her most fulfilling roles is co-ordinating social events involving staff, clients and customers as well as organising itineraries for overseas visitors.
As the chief company social organiser, it’s not surprising that Shirley describes her interactions with staff, customers and principal companies as the highlight of her work.
Shirley likes unwinding by reading, watching sport and cooking. She also takes an active interest in her children, seven grandchildren and extended family.
