PAUL SCHOLLUM
Financial Controller, New Zealand & Australia
In 1999 Paul Schollum joined REM SYSTEMS as the Financial Controller. He previously spent six years as a senior accountant for Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu and three years as manager for Brown Woolley Graham in addition to contract work in the United Kingdom. These experiences provided a sound base for the challenging demands of his new position.
Since joining Paul has been responsible for implementing a local area network; selection, implementation and project management of an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) package; and managing the everyday financial affairs of the New Zealand and Australian companies. He is assisted by another accountant, Kevin Teng, and accounts clerk Lyn McLean.
Paul is the son of company directors Leon Schollum and Shirley Schollum and says he enjoys working in a challenging industry and for a company which is able to adapt to change rapidly.
During weekends Paul’s time is spent enjoying family life with his wife and four young children. He is also a keen rugby fan, enjoys fishing, scuba diving and running. He recently completed his first marathon which was held in Rotorua.
