TONY EDMONDS
Regulatory Affairs Manager, New Zealand & Australia

After nearly a decade in the medical industry working for Glaxo and Bayer, Tony Edmonds joined REM SYSTEMS in 1993 as a sales representative. His keen eye for detail soon led to his current position as the Regulatory Affairs Manager for the New Zealand and Australian companies.

Tony’s role involves pre-market registration and submissions for medicines and medical devices.

He also wrote and implemented the company policy and procedure manual which forms the basis of the annual Good Manufacturing Practice audit by the Ministry of Health.

When staff join REM SYSTEMS, Tony takes them through the company policy and oversees contracts.

Describing his varied role, Tony says “you get to try your hand at many diverse tasks and find new and innovative ways to tackle problems”.

REM SYSTEMS is kept informed of the latest developments in the medical industry as Tony is one of only four Honorary Life Members of the Medical Industry Association of New Zealand.

A man with a passion for anything nautical — Tony spends much of his leisure time catching trout in Taupo, boating and building boats. On land he enjoys cooking and is known to produce a mean barbecued trout marinated in soy sauce and Scotch whisky.
