Acknowledgements
Creating a web site that captures the essence of a company, is imaginative, original and easy to navigate, is a tall order but one which I think we’ve achieved.
In the early planning stages it became clear that the focus we wanted was on people – the faces behind REM SYSTEMS and the faces of everyday people who come into contact with its products.
If you talk to customers, visitors or staff members about what they like about the company, one of the first things they’ll describe is the people and ”the family atmosphere”.
In order to convey this visually, there is an emphasis on portraits throughout the site. This required a huge amount of co-operation and time from many people and I’d like to thank the New Zealand and Australian staff of REM SYSTEMS for lending their grins and maintaining a sense of humour during our photographic “shoots”.
We are also grateful to our chief photo scanner, Julie Dunn.
A special thanks to Belinda Ball, Olivia Caldwell, Aaron Moss and Len Schollum for their help in achieving some memorable photos and to staff at Ascot Integrated Hospital, Auckland, for going the extra mile to enable us to photograph hospital scenes.
Des Moss – thank you for your vision which inspired our unique location maps.
Thank you to Paul Schollum who invested a significant amount of time in helping to develop the site and to Kevin Teng for his technical assistance.
Finally, to our web site designer and developer, Vinay – we commend you for your patience, persistence, and passion for what you do and your openness to countless requests and suggestions. We are grateful for your skill and “no problem” attitude.
To all involved in this project which grew and grew, I say a big “thank you”. Helping to create this site has been a mixture of pleasure and pain … a bit like life I guess.
